About radio

Zibonele FM is a South African community station that was founded in 1993 and is the first official community radio station in the country. Its line up is diverse and includes music shows, news reports, traffic, weather information and talk shows on a variety of topics. The station broadcasts from the Western Cape using the frequency of 98.2 MHz and has the live streaming feature on its website for listeners around the world. Radio Zibonele broadcasts 80% of its programs in isiXhosa.
